When a file with the same file name is attached, Domino may convert the file name of second and subsequent file to 8 characters beginning with "ATT". smaconne displays these file names as they are.

If the first few characters of the file name are the same, Domino is considered to be the same.

Because the number of characters required for this judgment is not specified in the Notes help, we cannot provide the number of characters.
