Is there anything I should be aware of when upgrading Notes/Domino and using a new server for smaconne migration?

2018/8/2 Created.
2019/9/17 Updated.

smaconne can be migrated by copying the smaconne app file (sdcnctr.nsf) from the old server under the "data" directory to  the new server.
However, depending on the conditions for migration, there are the following points to keep in mind.

1. Will the Domino domain of your Domino server be changed?
If there is change the domain, you must assign "Administrators" as the access rights for the "- Default -" entry in the ACL before copying the smaconne (sdcnctr.nsf) file.
After copy the smaconne app file, add administrator and user account access rights in the ACL and change the access rights for the "- Default -" entry to "No Access".
The followings that there are no changes to the Domino domain.

2. Will your administrator account be changed?
The administrator account used to sign the design must be authorized to execute the agent on the Domino server.
If you change the administrator account, you must re-sign the design and change the agent's permissions to run the agent, along with changing the ACL's access right, make sure that the administrator account used for signing is authorized to run the agent.

3.  Will your Domino server name or hostname be changed on the new server?
If the server name or host name is changed, please change the [Server Name] and [Host Name (FQDN)] in the basic information in the smaconne App Configuration document.
If the server name changes, please provide us with the new server name so we can reissue the activation code. After the migration, you must activate smaconne with the new activation code.

4. Will users account change?
If there are changes to the user accounts, change the user entries and access rights in the ACL of the smaconne app.
