When you see the Notes mail in smaconne, you can open the document with smaconne which is pasted document link into the body of the mail.
When you click on the document link in the body of a Notes mail without smaconne, the target document is opened without going through smaconne. So, it will not be displayed with the smaconne design (UI).
smaconne converts and displays the content of the target document. So, if you want to display the document with the smaconne design (UI), you need to specify the URL link for smaconne.
The URL to open a document in smaconne is as follows

www.xxxxxxxx.com is the FQDN of the Domino server on which smaconne is installed.
Each argument contains the following
- ParentUNID: Universal ID of App Configuration document of smaconne.
- UID: Universal ID of the target document
- NID: Note ID of the target document
You can use this URL link in any common mail application and CACHATTO.
By the way, in the case study presented in Mynavi and others, we customized the email sending function of the workflow app to add the URL link for smaconne to the email body with the general document link.
